Cruise Description

Cruise from Austria to Germany via Hungary and Slovakia. You will discover the historical and cultural treasures of the great capitals along the majestic Danube, from the famous scenes of the Vienna Konzerthaus to the Baroque palaces of Bratislava. Marvel at the vast plains of the traditional Puszta or hike through the small Carpathians to the ruins of Devin Castle. Tremendous landscapes and monuments with undeniable charm will be waiting for you.

Day 1
Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. We will depart for Vienna at 6:30 p.m. at the latest. After comfortably settling into your cabin, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.

Day 2
We'll arrive in Vienna early in the morning. Join us for the optional excursions proposed:CLASSIC: Visit to Schönbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the imperial family, and tour of part of Vienna.DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes. We'll stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus(2) concert hall. After our tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry.This afternoon, enjoy some free time or join us on an optional excursion for both packages: visit to Hofburg Palace.In the evening, join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Tour of Vienna by night.We'll begin to cruise during the night.

Day 3
The morning will be spent cruising. Afternoon, join us on an excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Budapest.Enjoy an evening of "operetta music” on board.

Day 4
Enjoy a free day in Budapest (lunch not included) or join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Visit the Puszta, the Pannonian steppe grasslands (typical regional lunch included.) Also called the Great Plain, this vast prairie was the once the wild west of Hungary, and immense herds of livestock grazed here under the watchful eye of the cowboys. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 5
The morning will be spent cruising. Afternoon, join us for the excursions proposed:CLASSIC: Guided Tour of Bratislava.DISCOVERY: Hiking in Bratislava: The Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, we'll take in the splendid view of Bratislava.We'll cruise to Dürnstein. Tonight is our gala evening and dinner.

Day 6
Enjoy a free time in Dürnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner. Afterwards, we'll cruise to Melk by crossing the wonderful Wachau Valley. In the afternoon, join us on an optional excursion for both packages: Visit the Melk Abbey. Originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736, it is now a Benedictine monastery that hosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students. We'll cruise to Linz.

Day 7
Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.
